El Portet
El Portet beach is located in a sheltered bay of Moraira, just a few minutes' walk from Moraira. Both El Portet and Moraira have a typical Mediterranean atmosphere, as there are hardly any high-rise buildings that you find elsewhere on the Costa Blanca. El Portet means something like the "little harbor" and is truly a pearl. The gently sloping, beautiful sandy beach of El Portet, with pleasantly clean and crystal clear water, is ideal for swimming or diving. This beach is perfect for families with small children, especially the left side of the beach with very shallow water. On the beach you will find a number of terraces with restaurants where you can enjoy local specialties. Getting to El Portet is easy; drive along the Calpe - Moraira coastal road into the town. At the second roundabout, take the second street on the right (Av. del Portet). Follow this road almost to the end. On the right-hand side there is a free car park. But be careful, there are relatively few parking spaces here, so you may want to plan on walking.
The main beach of Moraira is located to the right below the "Castillo de Moraira" fortress. It is the largest and most visited beach in the municipality. It is located right in the center of Moraira. The beach has not only been awarded a "Blue Flag" but has also received an award from the European Foundation for Environmental Education, an award that only two other Spanish beaches have received to date. The "Playa de L'Ampolla" beach is about 250m long and has an average width of 30m. It consists of fine sand and has a surveillance and rescue service. It can be reached on foot or by car. There is plenty of parking and it is free of charge. There is also access for the severely handicapped and public transport. On the beach you can rent parasols and sun loungers and do all kinds of water sports. There is also a beach cleaning service, a walkway, a beach restaurant, toilets and an area for sports and leisure games, such as a volleyball court.
Moraira Les Platgetes
The beach "Les Platgetes" is located on the coastal road from Moraira - Calpe, about 250 m to the right of the main beach "La Ampolla". It is a small sandy bay with rocks on the sides, which has also been awarded a "Blue Flag", perfect for families with small children as well as for divers and snorkelers. There is free parking directly in front of the beach. Beach loungers and parasols can be rented. Supervision and rescue service, beach cleaning service and toilets are also available. A chic beach restaurant is located a little higher up. All in all, you could say "small but nice!"
