El Portet

El Portet beach is located in a sheltered bay of Moraira, just a few minutes' walk from Moraira. Both El Portet and Moraira have a typical Mediterranean atmosphere, as there are hardly any high-rise buildings that you find elsewhere on the Costa Blanca. El Portet means something like the "little harbor" and is truly a pearl. The gently sloping, beautiful sandy beach of El Portet, with pleasantly clean and crystal clear water, is ideal for swimming or diving. This beach is perfect for families with small children, especially the left side of the beach with very shallow water. On the beach you will find a number of terraces with restaurants where you can enjoy local specialties. Getting to El Portet is easy; drive along the Calpe - Moraira coastal road into the town. At the second roundabout, take the second street on the right (Av. del Portet). Follow this road almost to the end. On the right-hand side there is a free car park. But be careful, there are relatively few parking spaces here, so you may want to plan on walking.
